Last week, we outlined why so many people have a negative association with “conspiracy theories.”
We exposed the extensive role social engineering and propaganda play in our daily lives.
And we introduced a new term: conspiracy science.
If you haven’t read Conspiracy Science 101, I suggest doing so before you continue reading below.
Here, we’re going to take a look at the history of psychedelic research and drug propaganda and illuminate what it can teach us about what’s happening today.

Acid Dreams
In the 1950s and 1960s, Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD or acid) and mescaline were being used by various medical doctors to successfully treat a host of ailments ranging from schizophrenia to alcohol addiction.
Abram Hoffer and Humphrey Osmund were two pioneering clinical physicians during this period.
Osmund actually coined the term “psychedelics” in 1956.1
At the same time, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) within the United States and the British military were experimenting with LSD as a form of mind control over the population.2
After ten years of research, these agencies found that LSD was not an effective tool for mind control.
In fact, it was having the opposite effect in that people under the influence weren’t following orders.
Also during the late 1960s, millions of individuals started taking LSD on their own, which led to a massive shift in cultural values, especially in the United States.3
(It’s estimated that between 20 and 30 million Americans tripped on acid during this period.)
This terrified the Powers That Be. And so they made LSD and other psychedelics illegal and classified them as Class 1 substances.
A Class 1 substance is considered “highly dangerous.” It is so restricted that not even academic researchers could use it in their experiments and therapeutic treatment practices.
Remember, it was already being used effectively to treat mental illness and address trauma.4
I had the opportunity to interview Abram Hoffer a few months before his passing at 91.
In his clinical research with Osmund, they had an impressive success rate in healing schizophrenics and alcoholics using LSD. And these transformations often occurred within a few group sessions.
As ethnobotanist Terrence McKenna astutely observed in Food of the Gods:5
“As the intelligence agencies that arose in the wake of World War II moved to take up their ‘deep cover” positions as the masterminds of the international narcotic cartels, the popular mind was turning on the television. Flattening, editing, and simplifying, television did its job and created a postwar American culture of the Ken-and-Barbie variety. The children of Ken and Barbie briefly broke out of the television intoxication of the mid-sixties through the use of hallucinogens.
‘Ooops,’ responded the dominators [globalists], and they quickly made psychedelics illegal and halted all research. A double dose of TV therapy plus cocaine was ordered up for the errant hippies, and they were quickly cured and turned into consumption-oriented yuppies. Only a recalcitrant few escaped this leveling of values. Nearly everyone learned to love Big Brother.”
Decades of valuable time and research were lost when the Powers That Be labeled these psychedelic substances as Class 1.
This important research started again with Richard Strassman’s work on DMT, the active chemical in the Ayahuasca plant.6 (Current evidence suggests that the pineal gland naturally produces small doses of DMT.)
See Strassman’s DMT: The Spirit Molecule for an interesting read, and see Acid Dreams by Martin Lee and Bruce Shalain for a closer examination of the CIA’s role with LSD.
The Healing Power of Psychedelics and Where Things Went Wrong
The anthropologists studying various tribes in the Amazon in the 1950s found that these individuals were more psychologically healthy than so-called “modern people” in the West.
They didn’t have all of the neurosis that consumes us “modern” folks.
This led the anthropologists to the shamans and the mind-altering substances they used as sacraments in their ritual ceremonies.
When the anthropologists brought back these substances to psychologists like Timothy Leary at Harvard University, some problems began.
Leary and others started administering and distributing these substances to their students who lacked the maturity and “set and setting” to use these substances properly.
Set refers to the mindset or consciousness of the individual taking the substance while setting refers to the environment itself.
These kids were in college so when they took these substances, they did what college kids often do: party.
This grew into the counter-culture of the 1960s.
While there were a few isolated problematic events related to these psychedelics, in most cases, these problems were related to the individual’s set and setting—not the substance itself.
But the Powers That Be created fear campaigns and propaganda to dissuade the masses from experimenting with these mind-altering substances.
For example, they used public announcements to send the message that these substances (including marijuana) are “gateway drugs” for hard narcotics. This is absolutely untrue.7
Yet, these propaganda campaigns were so successful that many people even today hold these beliefs.
Cigarettes & Soda Pop—They’re Good for You!
Remember the “conspiracy theory” about cigarettes that we reviewed in the last segment?
In the 50s, everyone was told that cigarette smoking was healthy.
Cigarettes were pushed on the public with the same voracity that “vaccines” and “masks” are being pushed on people today.
And yes, even physicians—those folks who are supposed to be focused on health and healing—told patients smoking was “good for you.”
And most physicians smoked cigarettes too.
Of course, we know who was educating physicians on the “health benefits” of cigarettes: tobacco companies. (Just as physicians are being “educated” by pharmaceutical companies today.)
Yet, it turned out that tobacco companies knew about the harmful effects of smoking cigarettes. There were over 7,000 papers published on the topic by the early 1960s.
It wasn’t a “mistake.” They simply chose to cover it up and profit from the death and misery of others.
Cigarettes weren’t the only harmful drugs that were pushed on the publish via propaganda and deception.
A more striking example is refined sugar in the form of soft drinks.
Most people don’t know that sugar is actually a more addictive drug than heroin.((Andrew Weil, From Chocolate to Morphine.)) (It’s true!)
Refined sugar is also a leading contributor to obesity (and cancer), which opens the gateway to a host of other illnesses.8
Is it an accident that soft drinks/sodas are a staple in homes around the world?
Hardly.
Endless streams of capital were invested over decades to infect the public mind with fallacious ideas, hooking the population on harmful drugs that are still poisoning people by the millions today.
And soda manufacturers didn’t just target adults; they went after children too:
I don’t know about you, but ads like this make my stomach turn.
The ad on the left reads:
For a better start in life, start COLA earlier!
How soon is too soon?
Not soon enough. Laboratory tests over the last few years have proven that babies who start drinking soda during that early formative period have a much higher chance of gaining acceptance and “fitting in” during those awkward pre-teen and teen years.
So, do yourself a favor. Do your child a favor. Start them on a strict regimen of sodas and other sugary carbonated beverages right now, for a lifetime of guaranteed happiness.
You can’t make this type of thing up.
“Laboratory tests” have “proven” that your kids will be less awkward as a teenager if they drink cola as a child.
(Trust the science!)
And the ad was sponsored by “The Soda Pop Board of America.”
Sounds so official, doesn’t it?
But don’t worry, they didn’t just target children with these indoctrination campaigns. They used nurses to associate the “medical efficacy” of brands like Coca-Cola® for adults too:
Drugs that lead to cancer (cigarettes), liver damage (alcohol), and obesity/diabetes/cancer/mental illness (sugar) weren’t just made available, they were heavily promoted to foster mass adoption.
Drugs that provided undeniable, almost miraculous healing properties—both physically and mentally—were prohibited from public use.
Hmmm.
Altered States of Consciousness
As Dr. Andrew Weil points out in The Natural Mind, humans are hard-wired for experiencing altered states of consciousness.
Children achieve these states by rolling down a hill, holding their breath, and spinning in a circle.
Adults tend to use substances to alter their state.
Mind-altering substances include caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, sugar, marijuana, morphine, chocolate, heroin, LSD, psilocybin, cocaine, crack, and opium.
See Dr. Weil’s From Chocolate to Morphine for an excellent primer on this topic.
Television and music are also common ways that humans seek to alter their state of consciousness.
But the point is that not every mind-altering substance alters our minds in life-supporting ways.
Your Brain on Drugs
Those of you who are old enough and living in the United States probably remember this public service ad campaign from the 1980s:
“This is your brain. This is your brain on drugs.”
The idea was that drugs fry your brain.
Notice what they did here: they just say “drugs.”
Well, what drugs? Sugar is classified as a drug. Alcohol is a drug. Caffeine is a drug too.
Of course, that’s not the intention behind this misinformation campaign.
The spinsters implied illegal drugs.
Sure, illegal drugs included cocaine, heroin, crack, and opium.
(As McKenna accurately stated above, for the most part, world governments are the ones behind the drug cartels—not in opposition to them.)
But “illegal drugs” also included psychedelics like LSD, psilocybin, DMT, and MDMA—as well as marijuana.
They also made ridiculous propaganda campaigns specifically against marijuana, a medicinal plant that has been used for healing for thousands of years.9
Here’s an MRI image of a brain on LSD:10
Comparison MRIs of two brains: one on a placebo and one on LSD
The “placebo” is what the controllers have done to the average person’s brain over the last century.
Sadly, this is now the “normal” brain.
Notice how on LSD (bottom row), the brain “lights up” as the individual accesses their whole brain.
An individual with a fully functional brain like this (bottom row) is going to be highly resilient to mind control and propaganda.
Armed with critical thinking, intuition, instincts, feelings, and imagination, they will be less susceptible to groupthink, destructive ideologies, and the madness of crowds.
Psychedelics Increase Mental Performance
Now, I’m not advocating psychedelics to anyone. It’s an individual choice. And I think it should be made responsibly with research and the prior cultivation of one’s mind.
While certain mind-altering substances taken in the right dosage can greatly assist in shadow work and inner development, they can also bring up a lot of unconscious material that the individual may not be ready to deal with.
However, it’s important to point out how much of society is built on insights from psychedelics.
For example, many people know that Apple’s co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs got the vision for the iPhone on an LSD trip.11
And the majority of Silicon Valley executives and numerous scientists have been using LSD and other psychedelics for many years to foster innovation and superior mental performance.12
Maybe they know something the average person doesn’t?
Of course, many people have been catching on.
“Microdosing”—taking very small doses of substances like LSD to increase mental performance—has become increasingly popular (at least, in America).13
And although the Powers That Be shut down psychedelic research in the late 1960s, new studies are showing that LSD can make you smarter, happier, and more mentally healthy.14
Go figure!
Why Psychedelics Are Relevant Here
Public perception of psychedelics is an ideal example of social engineering—of intentional misinformation and propaganda used to distort our view of mind-altering substances for nefarious reasons.
This is a conspiracy. And it is also a well-documented fact.
The stigma and fear many people have around these substances were intentionally conditioned into the masses—the same way people’s reaction to “conspiracy theory” was intentional.
It was crafted. And it was artfully executed.
Recall the passage from Edward Bernays’ Propaganda from the last segment:15
In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relative small number of persons … it is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.
It’s NOT an accident that drugs like sugar, caffeine, and alcohol are legal, heavily promoted, and widely available while other drugs like LSD, psilocybin, DMT, MDMA, and (in most cases) cannabis are not.
The former group of drugs tends to keep our minds in a state of receptivity to social programming.
This group of widely-available drugs is highly addictive and tends to keep us within the bounds of our conscious mind (ego) and the external world. All of our prior conditioning is rooted in the conscious mind.
The latter group, in contrast, has the potential to promote greater cognitive integration and psychological wholeness. (Again, when used correctly and responsibly—and in conjunction with proper internal practices.)
Mind-altering substances like psychedelics can help us access our unconscious; they connect us back to aspects of ourselves that most of us are cut off from.
Positive mental health is NOT the goal of the Powers That Be. It never was.
The goal IS mental illness. (This will be made abundantly self-evident in the course of this series.)
And, for the most part, they have achieved their goal with flying colors.
The Pineal Gland Conspiracy Revisited
Images of calcified pineal glands
Many of you have probably already read my popular 4-part series on the pineal gland. (If not, I recommend at least reviewing Part 1.)
It’s not an accident that fluoride is continuously dumped into our public water supply.
The idea that synthetic fluoride helps prevent cavities was always propaganda just like the idea that cigarette smoking is good for you.
There are volumes of evidence of the harmful effects of synthetic fluoride on our blood and organs, including our brain.
But having a calcified pineal gland greatly limits our perception and awareness, which supports the “pulling of the wires” by the Powers That Be.
And as such, fluoride remains in most public water supplies.
The more the globalists “dumb down” society, the easier we are to control and manipulate.
I suspect that much of the material being presented in this series would be common knowledge if our cognition was not under constant attack.
Up next …
Next, we’ll take a closer look at the origin of trauma and where everything starts to go downhill for our psyche.
Comprehending the origin of trauma is absolutely essential for developing an understanding of our overall predicament and why mental illness is the norm—not the exception.
